Australian Boating College - Endorsement Course

To all SYC members.

Andy from ABC (Aust. Boating College) will be running a endorsement course in Ararat on the evening of the 27th at the Chalambar Golf Club and runs from 6 pm to 10 pm. No prior knowledge is required. The cost of the course is $125. The course when completed and passed will allow the participant to then apply for a marine boat license. A license lasts for 5 years and cost approximately $160 (bit over $30 per year). The RTA handles the application process.

The committee encourages as many members as possible to obtain a Marine license. This will ensure the club has a pool of operators that can be drawn upon for our regular sailing events.
